"Spiritual Gifts"
1 Cor 12 8 explains how God will give u the gift of wisdom, but first you much obtain, the gift of knowledge. You can have knowledge with no wisdom. With knowledge, God will give you the gift of revelation. Sometimes you'll read a verse and not understand. You can go thru some things, and read the same scripture and finally understand it. That's because God has revealed the meaning to His word. Which is the gift of revelation. This is stated in Romans 16 25. God has revealed His word.. So there's no need to look for a "new" word. If there was more to reveal, He wouldn't have ended with Revelations. When God reveals knowledge, we have to have the wisdom to apply it to our lives.
In Cor 12 9. It states that, the same spirit that gives knowledge, also gives faith. The same spirit decides who receives what gift. So no gift is better than the other. Not regular faith. Its supernatural faith. Have you ever doubted God? Someone gifted with Jesus' supernatural faith will never doubt God. Jesus didn't even lose faith in God on the cross, how can we doubt? Supernatural faith will allow you to see a way out in ANY situation. People with faith know that if nothing else good happens, they know that God has done more than enough and has a place for them in His kingdom. Faith will have you seeing things with new eyes. People with faith will encourage you in your weakest moment, but will not go down there with you. They will be able to guide you out of any situation, they know that God has His hand in every situation.
Act 27 13 shows the story of Paul on the ship to be put on trial to meet Caesar. During the trip and strong storm came upon them and made them drop cargo from the ship, it broke the sails, and damaged the boat. At one point, the sailors said all hope was lost. To get thru the storm, they had to cast out cargo. Sometimes, for us to get thru our storms, we have to let some things go. One day, after days of not eating, Paul stated, "I told you in the first place not to make this trip, but don't be scared bc the boat might not make it, but no one will die, bc an angel of the Lord said to me last night that God has granted us safety. Sometimes God will break things up to help you make it to where you got to go.. They used the pieces of the broken boat to make it to their destination.
2 Cor 12 7 is the story of Paul with the thorn in hid flesh. Paul being a blessed and faithful man, God allowed Satan to place a thorn in his flesh to keep him from becoming proud. Paul asked God 3 times to take the thorn out of his flesh. God answered saying "My grace is sufficient, my power works best in weakness". So Paul faith that God will do everything that need to be done, he then rejoiced in his weakness, his hardships, when people talked about him, and during prosecutions because when he is weak, he is still strong in faith that God's will will be done. Just bc we are gifted, doesnt mean everything will be perfect. We have to work for it. Faith without works is dead. So to be and to stay faithful, we have to work on it daily , bc your faith will always be test and if your faith is false, it will show when all Hell breaks loose in your life.
