"We must go to the Other Side"
Matthew 8: 18 speaks of the story of Jesus speaking to the crowd who asked how can they follow Jesus. Jesus said, "Follow me, and let the dead bury themselves". To get to the other side, Jesus will stay with you. He said follow Him. He didn't just say Go.. He said follow, which means that He is going with us. On the way to the other side there will be storms (23-27). Storm will allow you to show you who you are. You never know who really has your back until we get into the storm with them. As long as you know that Jesus is in the boat with you, you will make it thru the storm. Jesus will get you from where you were to where you are going, and just bc a storm comes in your life, doesn't mean that He won't get you thru it. We were created for our storm, God is just waiting for you to call Him so He can get you thru it.

"Your present praise, is for ur future prayer"
... Sometimes your praise today will be stored up for a prayer that u might have next year... You gotta praise God in advance. 2 Kings 20 speaks of Hezekiah when God told Hezekiah to get his house in order bc soon he will soon die. Hezekiah then while on his death bed he cried and prayed to God. God listened and told him that he will extend his life for 15 years... Just bc of the praise in his heart. We need to always have a praise inside. God will always see and acknowledge a pure heart. When praise is real, it'll show up in your life. Praise should be some strong in our heart where it will come out of our mouths and come out thru our actions. To bring the background of this story, 2 Chronicles, speaks on the beginnings of Hezekiah, he began his reign when he was 25 (God is looking from praisers at any age, God will not wait for you to be old to use you) and in the first year of his reign opened up the church. He noticed that Judah had lost its praise, so his first duty was to clean out the wicked in the city and bring the city back to church and praise God the way that it should be. Before God can work inside of you, you first have to let go of the wicked inside of you. God will not operate in disorder. God needs to feel welcome to be able to work in something. Hezekiah was praising God with his actions, not just praising with his lips. Verse 20 states after he take out the wicked, he brings offerings to God. When u take something out, you have to fill it back with something. So he took out wicked and brought an offering. He worshipped God and was showing his praise with the sacrifices on the alter. Chapter 30 states in his 2nd month of reign, he brought back the Passover. Passover is a time of reflection and redemption. Not only did he want to bring the Word, but he also wanted to remind us of what alllll God has done and redeem their souls. Once again, showing praise thru actions. Later in the scripture Hezekiah brought back tithes to the church. Tithes aren't about money, its about obedience. You are to give back to God the blessings that He has already bestowed on us. So with all of this that happened we go back to 2 Kings 20 and Isaiah the prophet comes to Hezekiah while he was on his death bed and he told hezekiah that he need to get his house in order bc he will soon die. Then Hezekiah, turned to the wall to pray and said, "Remember when I walked with a pure heart, remember how I cleaned out the church, remember what I've done". What Hezekiah did was praised God thru his life to help with his future prayer. He didn't just take Isaiah word, he went to God for a "Second Opinion". After Isaiah left, he got a word from the Lord that told him to tell Hezekiah that God has heard your cry, go to church in 3 days and He increase his life by 15 years(sometimes your healing will come when you come to church, some times Gods work needs to be done in the church, God wants ur presence, so u can call His name, He wants u in His house so that He can bless you). God wants to increase our life, just bc ur not on ur sick bed, doesn't mean u are close to death, God wants u to come to His house, be obedient and call His name, and He will remember you.

Fathers Day Church Notes
"Time to Bring God Back Home"
In 2 Samuel 6, speaks of David picking 30000 chosen men, and he brought them together to get the Ark of God. The Ark of God is where God's presence is. He got some chosen men to bring home the presence of God. Our troubles in our live stem from God not being present in our home. Not just part time, not just Sundays, but everyday and everywhere. So our problems is that we have evicted God from our house. To bring God back, you got to invite Him back with some praise. You got to le God know that you really want Him around. Just like when a soldier comes back from war, we make banners, have a party and make a joyful noise for his return. But God has fought so many battles for us, we should praise Him when He comes to our house. When a newborn come home, we make some many changes to the home, we take things out, we plug up outlets, we do everything to prepare for the new arrival. We should do the same for God when you bring Him home. You gotta clean up some things when u bring home the New Arrival. But u must remember that your praise aint enough. You can't fool God by just praising on Sunday, God knows how u are everyday of your life. Your obedience is better than sacrifice. All God wants you to do is obey His word. In the story... Even after the praise, after the Ark fell Uzzah tried to pick it up, and died. This shows that your praise isn't good enough. Anyone who touches the Ark has to be obedient, if not you're gonna die. So David gets frustrated it leaves it at the house of Obed-Edom and left for 3 months. And with the Ark being in his house, his family was blessed with increase. You have to obey God, praise is not enough. If you're relationships aren't working, what aren't you doing to obey God. David goes back to Obed-Edoms house after hearing all the blessing God has bestowed on his house. After getting back the Ark, David praised God the whole walk back. David praised bc of the blessing he knew that was coming home. He was praising in advance. He ran, leaped, twirled all over the city in praise for God. When he got back home, the daughter of Saul, Michal, talked down on how he acted. She said the priest shouldnt act how the servants do. David replied by saying "I didn't do it for you. I was praising the Lord, I don't care how humiliating I might look, I will celebrate God". And with her negativity on how God was being praised, God made her childless for the rest of her days. You praise God however God moves you and never complain on how someone else praises. So don't be mad at Obed-Edom for getting blessed, just go get what he has and bring God home.

July 3rd Church Notes
"Have You Ever Wanted To Quit?"
Psalms 73 wasn't wrote by David, it was wrote by Asaph, he was a praiser and a songwriter. He states that he knows God is good, but he feels like he almost lost his footing. He almost slips back into his old ways, just like when we feel like things get too hard and we wanna go have a drink or smoke. You ever felt like things were better before you turned your life over to Christ? But when you turned you life over now all Hell is breaking loose. In verse 3 he state he was envious of the foolish when he saw how prosperous they were. Its hard seeing the people who don't serve God doing better than we are and they aren't even living right. In verse 13 he asks, did I cleanse my heart in vain? But you gotta know that God doesn't work on our time but He is always on time. So u might thing you changed your way for nothing but God is working on you and making you a fisher of men, not of things. God chose you. In Verse 17, he states that all of his doubts were cleared up when he finally went to church and saw the destiny of the wicked. Verse 18 states that he notices that the wicked are actually the ones slippin, they are the ones slippin all the way to a cliff of destruction and instantly they will be destroyed. But we are heirs to the throne, and we are joint heirs with Christ. Christ is our Father.. And if they got it now, its prolly all they are going to get. We have so much more to get outside of the world. Knowing that our Father has everything in His hands, that means so do we. Just bc its not in our pockets doesn't mean its not in our possession. If Daddy got it, then we got it. God will supply all of our need according to His riches in glory. In verse 21, Asaph noticed how bitter his heart had been seeing the wicked prosper and he noticed it, and he recognized that God had continuously held his right hand and guided him through out his doubt. God will never leave you. With God holding your right hand, you will never get caught slippin... The wicked are the ones slipping to destruction... Not us. So no matter what hell we go thru here, this is not te end of our story, we are nothing but pilgrims on a journey to make it to heaven. He ends the Psalm saying that he recognized that all I ever needed was You, Lord.

Aug 8th Church Notes
Getting Gods Attention"
Psalms 100 is about Gods reign and knowing how to come to God. If you're wanting to get Gods attention, u first to have to make a joyful noise. You have to be willing to shout for Jesus. If u can't shout to praise God, u might not have been thru enough, u can't stop someone who has had their bills paid with no job stop praising God. Those people know God is worthy a few shouts. You shouldn't come to God with a sad spirit, bc u know that God can do all things so u know that the closer you get to God, the happier u should be. Come to God with expectation, knowing that God is going to do something in you. So u should have a shout ready for Him. Also when u come to God, u have to worship Him with gladness (verse 2). When u are doings Gods work, and do it with gladness, God will bless in your work. Come to God with a song in you're heart. If u are filled with the Holy Spirit, (Eph 5:18) you will have a song thru the hard times that come your way. The 3rd thing you need when u come to God is to know the Jesus is God. Knowing that Jesus is God is having confidence in Him and knowing that He doesn't need a second opinion on how He can bless you. You also have to know Gods power, and that He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. Knowing that God is the Creator, u should look at yourself a little different. If God created you the way He wants you to be, be thankful that He uniquely made you. Don't let no one tell you any different. (Eph 2:10) states that you are one of Gods masterpiece's and their will be no other like you. When you begin to love yourself you are showing thanks to your Creator.
We are Gods kids, He takes care of us bc His name is on the line. Parents don't let kids leave the house any type of way bc they know that their kids represent their name. God won't leave you bc His name is on line. (Psalms 106) States that he will save you just to show every just how powerful He is. (Isaiah 48:9) States that God has deferred His anger on us bc of His name. Bc we deserves Gods anger but His name is on the line and He will always take care of His children.(Ezekiel 36:29) States God promises to take you from ur current situation, even if you messed up Gods name with your actions, God will take you to His land, will have you go thru no type of famine, and He will correct His name thru you. He will show up in your life so much that people will see that God is still working and that He is still awesome. I suggest that you read Ezk 36 to fully understand Gods promise. He will always do what he promises He will do.

Romans 8:18 #10 Encouraging Bible Verse for Hard Times
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
This is very important to know and to remember when hard times like the ones we are going thru tend to bring us down. We all are at different places in our walk with God and I am no better of a Christian than anyone else, bc we all have sinned. Im just trying my hardest my make my life better.. TIMES are harddd.. we all know this.. its seems like the only ones living good are the ones who are doing the wrong things to do it.. ie, Drug dealing, stealing or whatever else..
It seems that the ones working the hardest have the least to show for it sometimes.. but you gotta remember that God will supply ALL of our needs according to His riches in glory (Phil 4:19). Hold on and be steadfast..
think of your faith as a goal that you wanna meet. think about it as a workout plan.. think of hard it is to be commited to the gym when there are sooo many fast food restaurants in between you and the gym.. we consider then traps.. The same way we can thing about building our faith and being commited to grow in the body of Christ.. there are sooo many traps in between us and the church that could keep us away.. but if u are commited to living right and seeing that change you will not yield to all the temptations the Devil has put in front of you.. You cant just go to the gym with no plan of attack... you got to read the intruction on the machines to know what muscles you are working on.. so youre gonna have to read you Bible, and receive instructions on how to build your mind in Christ.. and the more you work out.. the more you wanna keep working out.. bc you start to see the change.. so the more you read the word and take heed to it.. you start seeing the change in your life.. and then.. the more you keep working out... and eating right.. people start to see the change on u.. and the more you start living right in the Word.. and starting doing right.. people will start seeing that change in your life... and you start working out soo much that you bring start inviting your friends.. and you get a workout partner.. so you start going to church so much and testifying that you bring your loved ones to church and they become your prayer partners.. and at this point of commitment.. everyone can see that you have made a change in your life for the better and you can now be an example that you were outta shape, lazy, tired, short of breath and unhealthy..but since you been going to the "Gym" you are now a prayer warrior, a peace maker, a cheerful giver, slow to anger, soldier of God.. and I want yall to see my before and after pics one day and tell me, "Boy.. Im proud of all that work you put in.. I can definitely see the change"

Know Your Enemy...
I just jad a to quickly speak on a coupla things on my heart..
If you know that there is a battle for your heart, mind and soul.. you have to know your enemy.. We need to have faith that God is always on time.. when u feel like youve taken all the you can handle.. know that God is in control of your situation and he will lead you out..
stay in prayer.. and know your enemy
